A Critique Group for Emerging Artists

Purpose:  To provide a supportive place to show and discuss your current artwork, to practice receiving feedback that includes constructive, honest criticism, to build a vocabulary with which to discuss your work, and to learn how to form objective opinions.
 
Needed:  A willingness to show your most current work, to contribute to the Socratic dialog* that will frame the process, and to be open to comments and constructive criticism involving analysis, evaluation, and questions.
 
Number of participants:  Limited to 4
 
Time Period:    A commitment is required for a consecutive 4-month period in order to build safety and trust with one another and consistency for the group as a whole.
 
Schedule:  The dates and times for each monthly meeting will be decided upon by the group's individual schedules and Pat's.  Day times, weekends, and some evenings are possible.  All dates, including a back-up date for emergencies & inclement weather, are set a month in advance.
 
Place:  Pat’s Studio in Natick.

Fee:  $75.00 per person, per 3 hour session.
